What Are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are artificial tooth roots. Your dentist surgically places them into the jawbone and then pairs them with a custom restoration (crown, bridge, or denture). The result completely replaces a lost natural tooth or teeth from the root to the chewing surface. In addition to restoring form and function, dental implants are also the only restorative dentistry procedure that can stop and prevent the jawbone deterioration that occurs following tooth loss.
Implants are most often made of durable titanium or zirconia. While Dr. Rota and our Colorado Springs team most often recommend titanium implants, zirconia implants can be a great option for certain patients. We're more than happy to explain your options online or during a consultation.
Why Choose Dental Implants?
Restored Oral Function
Even a single missing tooth can make it difficult to eat and speak properly. Implants paired with a crown, dental bridge, or denture can restore your oral function so you can chew and speak properly.
Bone Health Benefits
Dental implants provide the jawbone with the stimulation it once received from the tooth roots. This helps keep your jawbone healthy and can prevent the need for bone grafting later.
Boosted Self-Confidence
Missing teeth can be embarrassing to some, and it may cause them to hide their smile. Dental implants help restore the appearance of your smile, boosting your self-confidence.

"Immense knowledge and experience." Why Patients Love Our Colorado Springs Practice
Dr. Rota has immense knowledge and experience; I’ve been to many dentists around the world and no one was able to diagnose and treat like Dr. Rota. His practice offers very inexpensive dental insurance, I was shocked at how much care it covers for the low price (it pays for itself several times over). His staff is amazingly friendly and kind, and being in his clinic is lots of fun because of the massage chairs YAYYY and cute animals he has that help welcome patients. I recommend him to all my friends and family.
View On GoogleI've never felt more comfortable and cared for at a dentist office. Dr. Rota gives all options, pricing, and explains expected results for each. He really makes sure you have all the information you need to make a decision for yourself. They are accommodating for individuals who have great fears of dentists. They have a "comfort menu" with items like chapstick, warm blanket, and many more choices. I love to visit with their office dogs while waiting for my appointment, and sometimes they even hang out during the appointment.

Also Offering Mini Dental Implants
Mini dental implants are about half the diameter of traditional implants. A mini implant is often a great way to replace one smaller tooth with a less invasive surgery. They open up more possibilities for implant patients and can make treatment easier in these ways:
- Mini dental implants are small enough to be appropriate for patients who have experienced some degree of bone loss.
- The size of mini implants can make placement surgery quicker and less invasive.
- Many patients are kept comfortable during placement with local anesthesia alone.
- Because the treatment site is smaller, recovery tends to be quicker.
Wondering if mini implants are appropriate for your specific case? Reach out to Dr. Rota to talk about your options.
About Ceramic Implants
Ceramic implants are becoming a widely known alternative to traditional implants made of titanium. Dr. Rota can provide this solution, but they are not right for everyone. During a consultation, he can examine your smile and discuss your goals to determine whether this or another implant dentistry solution is the best fit for your needs.

More 5-Star Reviews
I cannot recommend Rota enough! I haven’t been to a dentist in 10 years and had quite a bit of anxiety over the treatment I required. They went a above and beyond to set me at ease before and during the procedure. I don’t remember hardly a thing! And I love that. Haha! Seriously, if you need a new dental team, you will LOVE these people.
View on GoogleBest dental care I have ever had. Dr. Rota is extremely skilled and compassionate. I am so happy I found Dr. Rota. I had difficulty with upper denture, but other dentists gave me "it's the best we can do". When I met with Dr. Rota he knew right away he could make it better. And he did. He is a perfectionist and over achiever, and his desire to give you the best possible outcome is above and beyond. I can't thank him enough. ❤
View on GoogleHow Much Do Dental Implants Cost?
The Number of Implants Needed
The number of implants and abutments needed will be a major factor in price. The more you need, the more it will cost.
The Need for Preparatory Treatments
If you have active gum disease or extensive jawbone deterioration, you may need preparatory treatment before your dental implants are placed. This will increase the overall cost of your implant treatment.
The Type of Restoration Needed
The type of restoration you need will also play a part in the total cost of your dental implant treatments. Dentures require more material and therefore will cost more than a dental crown.
Materials Used
Dental implants are made of titanium or zirconia depending on your needs. We also provide both traditional and mini dental implants. The type of implant used will influence the cost of your dental implant treatment.

Titanium or zirconia dental implants and abutments will last you for life. The restorations they support will need to be repaired or replaced after a certain point, and we can handle that here at our Colorado Springs, CO, dental office using your existing scans, but the actual dental implants are permanent.
Need Extractions Before Implant Placement? Visit Dr. Rota for Advanced Care and Better Results
Dr. Rota offers treatment options you aren't likely to find at many other offices around Colorado Springs. One of the most important is platelet-rich plasma treatment, or PRP, for socket preservation.
Many implant patients need teeth removed before their implants and restorations can be placed. This leaves empty tooth sockets, which require time to heal. In the PRP healing process, Dr. Rota takes a small amount of the patient's blood and processes it to isolate the platelets, or the part of the blood that promotes healing and growth. The result is a very thin film that our dentist places over the treatment site to speed recovery and better prepare the site for implant placement.
"10/10 would recommend."
"I've had a severe dental phobia for years and I thought I would just need to muscle through it. When I sit in the chair, I get wrapped in warm blankets and they give me hand warmers and a heated eye pillow. If I'm nervous we can stop whenever I need to. 10/10 would recommend this dental experience featuring puppies and face massages. I've been running around town telling all my friends about how my dentist office is like a spa session and makes cleanings feel like something I WANT to do instead of a dreaded chore."
